  • Specialized Applications: GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) control panels, relay desks, control consoles and field distribution boxes can be designed and manufactured according to project requirements.

ENGINEERING, TESTING & DOCUMENTATION APPROACH

Substation protection and control panels are handled on a project basis from engineering through manufacturing, with project documentation and customer approval processes forming the basis of the workflow.

1

Project & Specification Review

Single-line diagrams, relay logic diagrams, protection and control philosophy documents, material lists and relevant technical specifications are reviewed as engineering and quotation inputs.

2

Layout, Wiring & Integration

Device and terminal arrangement, internal wiring, accessibility, field connections and communication interfaces are organized according to the functional requirements of the project.

3

Inspection & Approval Process

Manufacturing and inspection steps are carried out in line with project requirements and customer approval processes. Corporate test reports, certificates and technical documents are available on the relevant resource pages.

Frequently Asked Questions About Substation Protection and Control Panels

Marshalling cabinets collect control, signal and metering cables from primary field equipment into organized terminal groups and route them to the relevant secondary protection, control or automation panels. This structure helps make field connections, installation, signal testing, fault tracing and maintenance activities easier to manage.

GIS control panels are configured around the control, monitoring, signalling and auxiliary-circuit requirements of Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS). Depending on the project, circuit-breaker and disconnector position signals, interlock functions and other field-status information can be monitored and controlled within the same panel structure.

Depending on equipment layout, accessibility, wiring and testing requirements, 19-inch rack cabinets or standard floor-standing panel structures can be used. Relay desks, control consoles and project-specific control panel arrangements can also be evaluated according to the application scope.

For a project-specific substation protection and control panel solution and quotation, use our Send Your Project form or contact our sales and engineering team at sales@panel.com.tr. Where available, sharing the single-line diagram, relay logic diagram, protection and control philosophy document, and approved vendor list will help streamline the engineering and quotation process.

Depending on project requirements, protection and control panels can be configured to operate with IEC 61850-based substation automation and communication infrastructures. The Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs), network architecture, communication scope and interfaces are defined according to the project specification.

Depending on the project scope, protection relays, metering equipment, Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), trip/close circuits, alarm and signalling components, marshalling connections, and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) or RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) interfaces can be integrated within the same panel system.
