POWER CONTROL CENTERS (PCC) & LV DISTRIBUTION PANELS

Panel Elektro Power Control Centers (PCC) are engineered as project-specific LV switchgear assemblies for low-voltage power distribution, transfer, synchronization and energy management. For industrial facilities, power generation plants and critical infrastructure projects, dynamic forces, temperature rise and operating conditions associated with high-breaking-capacity switching equipment are evaluated together during the design process.

Frequently Asked Questions About Power Control Centers

A Power Control Center (PCC) is a low-voltage panel solution used for power distribution, transfer, synchronization and energy management applications. It brings protection and switching equipment together within one system to support safe and controlled power distribution.

In standard applications, LV distribution, transfer and energy management panels can be designed up to 4000 kVA. The final solution is determined according to the project's technical specifications and operational requirements.

PCC panels can be used in industrial facilities, power generation plants and infrastructure projects for a range of power distribution and energy management requirements. Typical applications include:
  • Central power distribution and power control
  • Automatic transfer and synchronization systems
  • Power factor correction solutions
  • Solar LV collector (Step-Up) panels and solar/wind inverter cabinets
  • Secondary, floor, lighting and local distribution applications within facilities

Yes. Depending on the project structure and operational requirements, withdrawable or plug-in PCC solutions can be applied. The PFlex modular system supports these configurations with a flexible architecture designed to support maintainability and operational safety.

Depending on operational safety, maintenance and project requirements, physical internal separation between main busbars, functional units and cable connection areas can be applied from Form 2a to Form 4b in line with EN 61439 requirements.

In many projects, PCC panels can perform both Main Distribution Board (MDB) and power control functions. Depending on project requirements, power distribution, transfer, synchronization, energy management and switching functions can be integrated within the same panel system.

PCC panels can be used in data center electrical infrastructure for main low-voltage distribution, A/B power distribution architectures and the distribution of critical loads supplied from UPS or generator systems. The panel configuration is engineered according to the project electrical architecture, redundancy approach, protection requirements and operating conditions.
