LOGSTRUP MODULAR SYSTEM: DRAW-OUT, PLUG-IN AND FIXED TYPE PANELS

Panel Elektro, in cooperation with A/S Logstrup Steel (Denmark), provides Logstrup modular low-voltage panel solutions for industrial and critical infrastructure projects where operational safety, maintenance access and continuity are important. The system can be configured with fixed, plug-in or draw-out / withdrawable low-voltage switchgear construction, high-current capability and flexible internal segregation options according to the technical and operational requirements of each project.

KEY TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES & STANDARDS

250–8500 A

Verification Across 11 Current Ratings

The Logstrup modular system supports high-current applications with type-test certification across 11 current ratings from 250 A up to 8500 A.

IEC/EN 61641

Internal Arc Testing & Protection

Internal arc testing in accordance with IEC/EN 61641 is supported by features such as section arc-protection barriers, unit arc protection and mechanical safety interlocks.

IEC / UL / Lloyd / ASTA

International Standards & Test Framework

The system supports solutions aligned with IEC, UL, Lloyd and ASTA requirements, together with seismic, vibration and internal arc test options.

Form 1–4b

Flexible Internal Segregation

Internal segregation from Form 1 up to Form 4b can be applied according to project requirements, separating functional units, busbars and connection sections based on the selected configuration.

Flexible modular construction for project-specific low-voltage panel solutions

Based on the original 190 mm module, the Logstrup Modular System provides a flexible construction platform that can be adapted to different dimensions, layouts and configurations for low-voltage switchboard applications.

The system can be configured for main power distribution switchboards, sub-distribution panels, Motor Control Centres (MCC), control panels, rack systems and project-specific special enclosure applications.

The Logstrup Modular System is verified through type testing in combination with different circuit-breaker and electrical-equipment brands. This provides flexibility to develop different solution combinations according to the project specification and preferred component platform.

The modular construction allows equipment arrangement, internal segregation and panel layout to be configured according to project requirements. Depending on the application, fixed, plug-in or draw-out / withdrawable panel construction can be selected.

High-Demand Industries

High performance and reliable power distribution are critical across demanding industries. The Logstrup Modular System offers a high degree of flexibility for different equipment brands and project configurations and is supported by an extensive test framework. Its modular construction and broad standards coverage make it suitable for high-demand industries and challenging operating environments.

Safety and Test Verification

  • Test verification up to 8500 A in accordance with IEC/EN 61439-1 and IEC/EN 61439-2
  • IEC/EN 61641 internal arc testing for internal arc-tested LV switchboard configurations
  • Internal segregation options from Form 1 up to Form 4b
  • IP 20 internal protection, arc barriers and mechanical safety interlocks
  • Project-dependent seismic and vibration test options

Operational Continuity and Modular Engineering

  • Independent functional units that can be isolated from the system according to the selected configuration
  • More controlled maintenance, replacement and reconfiguration activities
  • Modular architecture supporting future upgrades and extensions
  • Construction options for different switchgear and component brands
  • Fixed, plug-in or draw-out construction according to the application
  • Compact arrangements with up to 40 functional units per section where the selected configuration permits
  • Front or rear access with top or bottom busbar/cable-entry options

For data centres and oil & gas facilities, where power continuity is especially important, the panel system should support structured maintenance and fault intervention. The draw-out and modular Logstrup architecture allows the relevant functional unit to be separated from other independent sections, where the selected configuration permits, helping support operational continuity during maintenance and replacement activities.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Logstrup Modular Panel System

Logstrup is a modular low-voltage panel system suitable for draw-out, plug-in and fixed-type applications and can be configured across different current ratings up to 8500 A according to project requirements.

A draw-out or withdrawable panel is a modular panel structure in which protection, control and starter equipment is arranged in separate functional units that can be withdrawn for testing, isolation, maintenance or replacement. In draw-out Motor Control Center (MCC) systems, the relevant unit can be moved to test, isolated or disconnected positions and removed for maintenance or replacement without interfering with other independent panel sections where the selected configuration permits. This structure supports controlled maintenance, testing and replacement while helping maintain operational continuity.

Fixed, plug-in or draw-out construction can be selected according to the project's operating, maintenance and access requirements. The final configuration is determined according to the technical requirements of the application.

Yes. Project-specific Logstrup configurations can be developed for marine, offshore and other demanding operating environments. Depending on project requirements, seismic and vibration test options can be considered as part of the selected system configuration. The final configuration and qualification scope are determined according to the project's technical requirements.

Form 4b is an internal segregation arrangement in which functional units, the busbar system and connection sections are arranged in separate compartments. The Logstrup Modular System supports internal segregation from Form 1 up to Form 4b in accordance with IEC 61439-1/2.
