Field distribution and junction boxes can be supplied with enclosure protection up to IP65 for applications exposed to dust, moisture or outdoor conditions, depending on project requirements.
LOCAL CONTROL, JUNCTION AND SMALL DISTRIBUTION PANELS (SMDB)
Panel Elektro Local Control, Junction and Small Distribution Panels (SMDB) are compact field solutions developed for power distribution, signal connections and equipment-level local control requirements in production lines, industrial facilities and field applications. Local Control Panels (LCP), field junction boxes and Sub-Main Distribution Board (SMDB) solutions support the structured transfer of power and signals from main panels to motors, pumps, valves, fans, lighting or small-power groups. Depending on the application environment and project requirements, the solutions can be configured with enclosure protection up to IP65.

Frequently Asked Questions About Local Control, Junction and Small Distribution Panels
The primary function of a distribution panel is to distribute and protect electrical power to downstream circuits through fuses and circuit breakers. A local control panel (LCP), by contrast, supports local control and monitoring of motors, pumps, valves or fans through pushbuttons, selector switches, indicators and, where required by the project, control devices such as PLCs or HMIs.
Junction boxes allow cables from sensors, instruments and motors to be collected close to the field and grouped neatly through terminal blocks. Where required, these connections can then be routed to the main control panels through multicore cables. This arrangement helps organize field wiring and makes installation, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance easier to manage.
Depending on project and site conditions, painted sheet steel or stainless steel AISI 304/316 enclosure options can be evaluated. Based on the application environment and project requirements, field control and junction box solutions can be configured with enclosure protection up to IP65.
